We have a lemon!

We are officially into the Second Trimester with the Kastenbaby, and the little one has grown to about the size of a lemon! From head to toe, they are about 3 1/2 inches long... can you believe K-Baby has already developed enough facial muscles to get a work out, just from frowning, squinting, and maybe sucking their thumb? Pretty incredible.

Last night we had a fun night with our friends, the Hodges, who we met in our AC 3 Strands. We went to their house to enjoy Jon's first shot at a delicious Broccoli and Cheese Soup, yummy salad, and WONDERFUL Date Cookies from Lindsey. Mmmhmmm. It was a special night of just plain old hanging out in fellowship. They are also expecting a baby, although it will be their third :) So that was fun to talk about the expectations and such of parenthood...

I have a question for all you parents out there. What is one thing that you expected you would do, or never do as parents, that really changed when you had the baby? (ie: You said you would never rock your baby to sleep, but it seemed much more practical when you had the baby, so you did rock it to sleep instead of letting them cry)

Comment below, please :)

We vowed we were not going to let Alfredo sleep in our bed. However, if we put him to bed in his crate or on his couch, he would cry all night and pace around our bed. He got so jealous of Tabasco getting to be on bed.
We finally caved and let him up. Now he sleeps like a log and doesn't want to get up in morning.

Haha! You guys are softies!!! (Just Kidding, partly) I'm sure we'll do something like that. BUT, I know for sure our baby can't sleep in bed with us. Tim would smother it.
Well...I never thought our kids would run wild in the woods with machetes, hatchets and conibear traps in hand...being gone for hours at a time.
Oh...and playing by the river when the ice is going out.
Oh...and hiking in the ditch of an interstate highway in the dead of winter just because he can.
Oh...and milking goats.
Oh...gotta go, I think I Social Services is calling.
