A Weekend With the Boys

So, after our fun-lived adventures around town, Suzy and I drove through ridiculous hours of the night on a Friday to reach the boys down in Norwood.

It was SO worth the construction, the wrong (not)turn, the traffic, the darkness, and the cliffs we endured. Suzy drove and I chatted with her the whole time. It was actually a pretty decent drive, considering.
No need to worry for her sake, we didn't even play "Hey, Cow!" she just wanted to have her photo taken. I conceded.
This is where Tim's bro Kevin lives. It's pretty incredible.
So anyway, when we first got there, we were SO tired and couldn't see anything because it was 1 something am. BUT the next day, the boys took us Elk Hunting with them! This was the drive there, past Colorado Trophies' ranch, Wing Shadow Ranch where Kevin works.
This is me, in his hunting garb. Cute, huh?
Here's the stud brother-in-law Jon.

Here's the stud brother-in-law Jon with his cow (Elk are Bulls and Cows. NOT Bucks. Sometimes I carelessly made that mistake in conversation with any one of the boys, and I wondered if I would be allowed to even look at them after that).
Photo of some of the boys while glassing. Courtesy of my INCREDIBLE manly man husband. He's the BEST.
This is just Suzy's really natural, relaxed face. This is what you call ORGANIC SUZY. She only makes it when she is really enjoying herself. So, you may not see it all the time, just when she's completely overjoyed that she is with me ;) I see it most of the time that I am with her.
Mike & Timothy
Brotherly Love.  This is Kev's room at the lodge. 3 bunks. 6 guys. It's so cute.
Now, the ride home was just as stunning as the Norwood Area. This is a breathtaking canyon in between Montrose and Gunnison. GORGEOUS.

Thank You Erica! You are so sweet! I know, you probably would own some Camo too... it's so practical for work, and for hiding. If only GAP or Target sold some cute camo, that would be all we'd wear ;)

It was SO wonderful seeing you yesterday and catching up.

I am going to go read from Pioneer woman.
